Favorite thing about St. Anne's: The people! The community at St. Anne’s works together to create an inclusive, warm environment that allows students to realize their full potential and be happy, well-rounded and capable contributors after they leave this beautiful campus. I love being part of such a kind and child-centric community.

Why did you choose to teach? Although I’m not currently in the classroom, I really enjoy being part of a school that values and embraces whole-child education. It’s fun to watch all the creative, hands-on ways the faculty here engage and excite their students and foster a lifelong love of learning both inside and outside the classroom.

Hobbies or interests outside of school: Spending time with my family/friends, photography, swimming, hiking, running, reading, and traveling.

Stuck on an island, what book do you bring with you?/Favorite book: If I were stranded on an island, I would want a survival guide book, but my favorite books are typically historical fiction!

Favorite thing about St. Anne's:
The people. The people in our community are like extended family to me. I work with amazing, talented colleagues and very special families who share their precious children with us every day.

Why did you choose to teach?
I actually wanted to be a teacher from the time I started Kindergarten. I loved school as a child! That feeling became a passion for working with young people, watching them learn and grow, and learning alongside them. Although I am not currently in the classroom, I still get to be around teachers, students and parents every day. I can honestly say that, after all these years, I still love coming to school every day.

Hobbies or interests outside of school:
Reading, scrapbooking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Stuck on an island, what book do you bring with you?/Favorite book:
The Norton Anthology of English Literature

Favorite thing about St. Anne's:
I love the people and the community. Adding that I am an alumnus, St. Anne's simply feels like home to me.

Why did you choose to teach?
I teach because I enjoy working with kids, but I truly love teaching content and discussing life lessons/habits that hopefully will positively impact students in the future. I also have decided to teach because I enjoy helping (in any small way) students become passionate about learning, as I realize that this drive and excitement can lead them to learn more about themselves, others, and the world. Learning and feeling the joy associated with learning will always create a spark that helps students follow their interests and dreams.

Hobbies or interests outside of school:
I love reading, and I really enjoy any sports-related activity.

Stuck on an island, what book do you bring with you?/Favorite book:
I would bring The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch and Meditations by Marcus Aurelius.
