What technologies/platforms will the school be using?

As a school we are trying to balance the amount of offline and online learning happening in an effort to mitigate the amount of screen time our students have daily. That being said, a variety of tech tools will be utilized in each respective division.

Zoom Video Conferencing will be an essential tool for the middle school for Virtual Advisory & Virtual BLOC . We would urge your student to make sure it works on their device. Here is a link to a tutorial for Zoom if you’ve never used it.

Teachers will also utilize different tech tools, such as Google Classroom, Seesaw, Loom and Khan Academy. Most of these will be familiar for your students.

What do we do if we have tech problems/questions with some of the tools like Zoom?

Being flexible and adaptable will be key for us all as different tech platforms temporarily crash or wi-fi goes down at our own homes. Please communicate with us as you experience challenges. For individual issues, there are also any number of tutorial-type resources available with a simple Google search. However, do not hesitate to email any member of the tech office with questions.
